About the role
Behind every reminder, sync and subscription is a service that has to just work. You will design and run the APIs and data systems that power our apps and games.
Our users trust us with personal health and money data, so privacy and security are part of every design decision, not something we add later.
You will have real ownership in a small team: you design it, ship it and keep it healthy in production.
What you'll do
- Design, build and maintain APIs used by our mobile apps, games and website
- Model data and write efficient queries; own schema changes and migrations
- Build sync, notification, subscription and analytics pipelines
- Keep services observable, secure and cost-efficient
- Write tests and automate deployments
- Work with mobile engineers on API contracts and offline-first behaviour
What we're looking for
- 4+ years of backend development, mostly with Node.js and TypeScript
- Strong SQL skills and production experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs
- Familiarity with containers, CI/CD and a major cloud provider
- Good understanding of authentication, encryption and data privacy practices
- Nice to have: app store subscription / receipt validation, queues, or real-time systems
